The Second plenary of IGCP-724 in 2024 was held in August
The second plenary was held on 26th of August. On the meeting, Dr Jingchao Li from China group introduced the research status of fluid geochemistry in the Sichuan and Yunnan Province, China which was chosen as a typical study area by the project team in the last meeting.
The leaders stated and discussed the existing problems in the study area and proposed potential solutions. They agreed to strengthen coperation and form a joint force to improve the level of earthquake research and prediction in the region. In addition, some leaders introduced latest research progress related to the IGCP-724.
