The First plenary of IGCP-724 in 2024 was held in May
On May 11, 2024, the first plenary of IGCP-724 project “Fluid geochemistry and earthquake forecasting” was held.
All leaders read the comments from the Committee carefully, concluded the good aspects and shortcomings during last year's project conducting process, and discussed the detailed work plans this year.
All leaders and participants came to an agreement that we should concentrated to a specific area to work together this year. The place is the Sichuan and Yunnan Province, China preliminarily, where large earthquakes frequently occur. And more cooperation details will be further discussed in the next meeting.
All members realized that we should cherish the IGCP platform, improve the project according to comments from the Committee, and enhance communication among each other.
